The Experience
You will love: A family friendly, short distance trail with a beautiful payoff.
You need to know:
Your adventure begins at Paul's Court, a quiet cul-de-sac with a single cabin at its tail end. Paul's Creek is a blue marked trail that begins at the end of the cul-de-sac. The trail hits the ground running with a swift descent through dense forest, providing a mix of tree root, clay based single-track and small stones to walk over. The trail flattens at 0.3 and the sounds of water start to fill the forest. A small creek crossing is your next minor hurdle, have no fear stones and boulders provide a manageable crossing. Once across, a small ascent while the creek stays to your left providing small pocket views of the creek cascading small rock formations. All of this leads to the base of a pristine waterfall with its own swimming hole. You will notice a few things, one how quiet and serene the area is, the second is how very few people you will see and finally, best of all (drum roll) you will notice a water slide. Yep, if you feel comfortable then climb the rocks to enjoy a brisk slide down the very smooth rock face to the pool below. Once fulfilled, retrace your steps to your car. Paul's Creek is a great family hike, for its short distance and big payoff!
