THE WHY: This hike is for the adventurer. See millions of years ago tiny insects made homes in the mountains porous rocks. Then over time so did ice, cold and erosion to which eventually was to much for the mountain line and it collapsed. What was left are car sized and refrigerator sized boulders to scamper and roam on.

5 THINGS TO KNOW:
  1. Trail is rated Strenuous and total hike distance is 3.5 miles. This trail is not recommended for kids or pets (unless your pet is a mountain goat). Hike with a partner.
  2. Avoid the rocks on damp, wet or potential rainy conditions.
  3. Pace yourself, there is no route to take once on the rocks. Its all about your pace and your decisions.
  4. Gear is everything, wear shoes with grip
  5. Have fun... this is a venture through geological time!
