INTRODUCTION
Between Luray, Virginia and New Market, Virginia sits Crisman Hollow road. It weaves for 7.8 miles between the Massanutten Mountain Range and the Blue Ridge Mountain range. This gravel road holds the key to many secret gems of the Luray area. Crisman Hollow provides ample primitive camping locations conjoined with streams, towering trees and plenty of privacy. The area is also ripe with hiking opportunities ranging in difficulty from easy to strenuous, all with common characteristics of the area; tough single-track, rocks and bountiful views. Within the Crisman Hollow area are three hiking trails worthy of a day or weekend experience. They reside within 1.7 miles of one another, each with their own unique experience from a Class III rock scramble, to a spring fed pond to a 360 degree view . Collectively these trails are ready to fill your next hiking experience with memories and moments.
