The Experience
You will love: Good lengthy hike thru forest, pine, with a few stress points via switchback all culminating at sub alpine summit.
You need to know:
Take the long way to the summit! Once parked, go down the dirt road and access the blue marked trail for your adventure to begin. The trail has all the elements without the rocks. It has grassy areas, large trees, pines, creek crossing and switchbacks on the way to this beautiful open face summit. A summit with a meadow no less. The trail is well marked and maintained but bring bug spray for the spring and summer periods. The trail is not a secret so get there early to enjoy solitude. Finally, this trail is great for families and those looking to get in shape. Kids are welcome, but the younger ones may struggle with the distance so plan wisely.
