What’s to like about the trail: Well-marked, easy to navigate short day hike. Why go for a hike on this trail: You go loco for local hikes. You get a great forest canopy leading to a few outcrop views of the valley below. This summit is a ridge line rock scramble with great nooks for lunch. Best time to go for a hike on this trail: All seasons. Summary Your adventure begins at the trailhead parking (its a sloppy mess of a lot fit for only 10 cars). The trail begins in the lower left corner of the lot and meanders a bit over a creek and through the hillside. The hike is not a quad buster but rather a slow and steady walk along the side of the mountain. The tree canopy provides great comfort from any warm weather or beating down sun rays. This hike gets more fun near the top when you become a mountain goat and start the rock scramble along the ridge line. The summit sports views of the valley and great spots for lunch. This hike provides quality for its short duration. This is a popular hike, be mindful to hit it up early. HIKE ON! |
