The Experience


You will love  Nearly 5 miles of flat single-track trail under a beautiful forest canopy. Enjoy lake views, serenity and a good exercise.
You need to know   Hike, Bike or Run this park trail system has multiple offerings for families, kids and pets.

Located in a suburb of Washington DC, this gem is perfect for a family outing.  First, the trail system is relatively flat, fast paced & leads you around the entire lake (4.7 miles). The trail is comprised of compacted dirt and gravel and provides scenic views of the lake and coves. The trail is utilized by mountain bikers, walkers and trail runners. 
  The park offers visitors plenty of other activities including
  • Green space for a picnic
  • Fishing & boat rentals
  • Volleyball courts
  • Mini golf &  disc golf
  • Camping
  • Ice cream shop
  • For the kids there is:
    • A passenger train with a 1.75 mile long ride next to the lake.
    • A carousel
    • Train and carousel require the purchase of tickets
