This area is perfect for a Sunday stroll, offering kids and dogs plenty of wild green space to explore. The Preserve features an extensive trail system—if you look at the map, you’ll notice they’ve created many interconnected paths. The trails vary from peaceful pine groves to dense forest, small ponds, and open fields. One of the best aspects of the system is that the trails are short and connect frequently, giving you ample choices and flexibility for your walk. I recommend starting early in the day, as the Preserve is quite popular with birdwatchers. Do keep in mind that the area is also known for ticks, so take precautions to prevent bringing home any unwanted companions.
